How do you become an actress for Disney Channel?

Question

I'm kind of torn between careers right now, I either want to be a vet or a Disney Channel actress. Like Miley or Selena. I know, total opposites, right? I've never done any acting before, and I don't want to do plays because you have to sing and its live. and commercials are just embarrassing. Is there anyway to land a spot like Miley and Selena have with no experience? I believe I'm good, and I just want to give it a shot. I would have to live in LA, but I currently live on the east coast with all of my family. AND I've never been on a plane before. I'm willing to try all of this though. On the other hand, I love animals. But I don't think I could take them dying. ANY ADVICE? and any way of getting an agent and a disney spot. i feel like i have to start now if I wanna be like Miley. PLEASE HELP! p.s.--I don't mind everyone knowing all about my personal life. I dont care about the privacy. WHICH CAREER???

If you have to ask, then you don't want to be an actor. But to be an actor you have to do plays, how else are you going to find out it you stink at it or not? Guess you better be a VET.  There are too many wannbe actors anyway.

You must realize that Buena Vista Studios have literally thousands upon thousands of young people audioning every single year for a limited amount of roles.

go to actinginfo.blogspot.com and it gives you all the lastest on the disney channel auditions. you will have to have a little experience in acting and you should get an agent also.

i know how u feel. i would love to be a famous actress who hangs with the jonas brothers and chats it up with people like ashley tisdale but i have NO talent. so, i've decided that i am gonna accept my life as it is and make plans for my future that don't involve Disney and others that do. MAKE PLANS FOR BEING A VET BUT NEVER LOSE HOPE IN BEING A STAR.if you believe enough in yourself that you truly can see yourself on the screen with all the people of the Disney channel, then go for it. you may have to wet your feet a little in the acting world (like a school play or a puppet show - j/k!), but if you believe in you and your ability, then you can go further than you may have ever imagined. or at least that's what I say every day to myself. I think an actress is the most fun, well I am one!

For being an actress you need to go to acting classes, get a headshot, then an agent, go to auditions, etc.

definitely definitely definitely definitely definitely definitely definitely DEFINITELY be a vet. the world needs vets. nobody needs miley cyrus.

but if you must, i recommend getting at least *some* acting experience before you audition, because unless you have celebrity parents, you'll need skill and it will be very hard work. also, remember that half of the american population has the same dream as you, so you'll need to *really* stand out.

The best way to become a Disney channel actress is to 'know someone'.  Sounds like you don't have much of a network in the LA area.  Probably best advice is to stick to your vet idea.  The world needs caring people like you to care for animals more than it needs another Disney actress....
