How do you become the coolest kid in school?

I was always wondering how popular people are popular. Any suggestions?

Yea i have to agree with the first answer. In college people don't care and that is a fact. Once you go to college and pay for it, they don't care if you make it to class or anything but if you really want to be the coolest kid, do something great. Like be popular in an event, do some community stuff, work with your peers and be a team player. Coolness lies within yourself not by what you do mostly. If you want to be cool just be cool, be yourself and don't watch others do something and do the same thing and hope to get the same results.

huge suggestion here. who cares. in college people arent going to care if you were popular in high school. it just doesnt matter. focus on your schoolwork so you can get into a good college and get a good job. because chances are that if you focus on school rather than popularity you will end up bossing all the a******s from high school around. popular people are jerks, its just a fact of life. they think their sh*t dont stink and they think they can get by in life depending on their looks.

you just have to be confident, and yourself. i wasn't 'popular', i wasn't friends with everyone, but knew a lot of everyone from lots of different groups. it doesn't matter what you look like just that you are yourself, friendly, and unafraid -- which most high school-aged kids are..

in my experience the most popular people have been popular since 5th grade. and yes it did go back that far.

it starts with looks. then there's an attitude and a personality. then interests in certain things. in high school you can either be "have a lot of friends" popular or you can be like the "royalty" kind of popular.

I think popularity comes from being outgoing. I was popular in school i think because i hung out with people from all kinds of groups.

I knew some of the jocks, had some crushes on some nerds and really got active in as many school functions as i could.
