How do you block a phone number on a house phone line?

i want some people calling my HOUSE phone and they these people wont stop calling unless i pick up the phone. i do not want to talk to them, but they keep calling. is there any way to block a number?

sure, call your service provider and give'em the numbers you want to be blocked. But it'll cost you. I don't know if is monthly or one time charge.
