How do you block a phone number?

Yesterday I tried calling my sister and I found out my sister blocked my cell phone and home phone numbers. There was this automated message that came on saying "The number you have dialed is not accepting calls from this number". How did my sister block my phone numbers? I didn't know this was possible. Also, did my sister pay money to have my numbers blocked?

I'm wondering just how psychotic my sister is.

  1. She would have got her service provider to block the numbers.

  2. Your sister must have called her phone service provider and requested to have your number blocked, and yes I believe she would have to pay for that . That has to be the only explanation. Wow, why would she go to such an extreme?

  3. their are 2 ways

    1) pay your service provider to block the phone no. i think he ll cost you and in that case you ll get the msg u got..

2)In your mobile phone add the no. you want to block to the screening list, which will be their where you can find the call divert option..

  4. Some cell phones can block calls from numbers that the user can program into the SIMM card - the above message could also reference the "private" or "unknown" registering on the caller id - do you block you caller ID outbound when you call.

  5. I bet she has used the *77 feature....!
