I know one way you can block a website by going into the internet options. I was wondering is there another way to block it. As in when you go to that site, there would be an error occur or cannot open this page. When I set the block using the internet options, I can still have access to the site that I wanted to block. It is because that site doesnt require username and password. Overall I just want to know a way to block it where I can't have no access to it, whatsoever. Thanks in advance.

  1. You can edit the hosts file at

    c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

    add

    127.0.0.1          www.blockwebsite.com

The system will thought that this website is local PC and it will not be able to access this web site.

  2. you  could solve it only by

      =write it in

    hmmm. i think .........

    you can do it ..........

  3. Do you have windows vista it has a parental control option which is good.

There are also programs you can download that are good.

  4. If you really want to block a site, you can use a utility called NetNanny. I have that on my kids' computer and it requires a password before the offending site can be accessed. Problem is, like any other password type thing, if you set the password, you can unblock it yourself at any time. My suggestion is ask a friend to make the password for you and not tell it to you. In my opinion, thats the only way this would work, other than moving to some remote island in the south pacific and fighting off cannibals who might try to steal your bandwidth(if you have any)...or perhaps steal your brain for their soup. Eww!
