  1. www.donotcall.gov

  2. put your numbe on the do not call list  and/or get caller id. You can also get caller id w/ privacy detector (or some similar name) which means if the number doesn't show up on the caller id the person has to state their name before you accept the call.

  3. put your number on the do not call  list, thats all you can do. Or ask your phone company to change your number and then keep it unlisted. Dont give it out freely.

  4. Get on the National Do Not Call List.

It helps, but doesn't eliminate it, though you can sue after a certain time.

  5. Our state, thru the Attorney Generals Office, has a no call list.  You place a call to a specified 800-number and it registers you as a no call number.  You do have to know anyone you already do business with, like phone companies, cable or satellite tv companies, etc., may still call you.

  6. do not call list..or there are a few features you can get like call block or call intercept. Call your phone company and they will give you some more options.

  7. try *77 ACR on your phone!!

  8. I agree to all the answers with just one difference. Get on the call list first to the state you live in. In a search engine like put in NJ do not call list....it will lead you to a link and you fill out the form  and it is good for up to 5 years I believe. Hope it helps a little. Keep Smiling.
