  1. There are a lot of reasons for feeling low, but the best way to boost your self esteem is to get really involved with activities that you're good at.  Feeling good about yourself, being proud of yourself, etc., happens when you immerse yourself in something that you really enjoy doing.  When you do that you probable get good at it and it feels fun to do.  Also, people will notice how good you are at it and provide another form of positive feedback.  

    Telling yourself how wonderful you are won't work.  Find out what you enjoy doing - like drawing, acting, building things, stilting, juggling, computer programming, whatever - and do it.
