  1. Pack your own lunch make them when your not busy

  2. Take a good look in the mirror!

  3. Go rent "Supersize me" and pickup something to eat on the way home.

  4. Don't watch any movies, eat a skinny vegetarian person! I think they are low in trans fat... that's mostly in the brain.

Just keep taking one step healthier choices, do what's right for you, keep a positive outlook while doing it. I substituted grilled chicken for burgers, then tried a few salads.. but that might not work for everyone.

  5. You have time for what you make time for.  If you decide to eat more healthy then either pack a cooler, or take time to go into a restaurant where they have real food.  You might try a place like Panera Bread, or stop at a deli or grocery store for a fresh sandwich or salad.  Add a pickle instead of chips or french fries.

  6. Try cutting down on the fast food by ordering kids' meals & healthier choices like salads & such, then find other quick by healthy meals in the store that take like 15 minutes in a skillet like Bertolli, Zatarain's, etc. Then once you stop buying so much fast food you'll probably find an extra time to actually prepare food. Or you could always buy the pre-packaged healthy choices that don't take time to prepare!

  7. Order grilled chicken burgers or Veggie burgers cut out the sides like fries or onion rings settle for juice or water or milk instead of pop and get salads with low fat dressing.

  8. sub way

  9. watch supersize me.  i havent eaten fastfood since i watched that documentary.  and now when i even see people eating it i think its gross.  after about 4 years of not eating fastfood it starts to disgust you.

start changing your diet by preparing a weeks worth of food at the beginning of the week and then freeze them and then when you are ready to eat you can just pop it in the microwave.  bring a bag lunch to work. plan your scheduel around meal time so you dont have to get a meal on the go.

good luck on kickig your fast food habit!!

  10. Well I had a addition to BK and I found food in the gorogery store that was lik fast food but healther then gradully you will not want to eat out as much =)

  11. If you have food with you, you are bound to eat less fast food...I always make my lunch the night before. My favorite is 3 oz. of sliced turkey on a whole wheat tortilla with mustard and lettuce..very filling...

I have a cooler bag and I put all my food for the day in there with an ice pack..having my food with me makes it easier to get through the day. For me, the key is to make it the night before, or immediately when I come home from work...before I conk out!!

  12. Try going for stores that you know are good for you.

Most of us know what a healthy choice is, and because theres always such a large variety in any fast food place--theres lots to choose from.

If you must go to a place like mcdonalds then cut down on the amount you eat [eg. instead of a meal, just have the burger]

But if you want to go really healthy-find a place with salads or good wraps/kebabs =]

  13. Get a kids meal (smaller portions-less fat) or go to Wendy's they have good salads, chilli, baked potatoe & fruit cups, they are also reasonalbly priced..........

  14. Order salads

  15. Watch 'Fast Food Nation' and that might make you not wanna eat fast food ever again....

  16. all i can say is to watch what you eat and make smart choices

  17. eat at home...

  18. I agree with previous answers about reading Fast Food Nation and watching Supersize Me....also go to MacDonalds website and find the ingredients list - guess h ow many ingrediants there are in French fries ....I thought there should be 2 - potatoes and oil but no, there are about 7 different things in the humble french fry. Then look at the sesame bun! Some of the burger/chicken things too have SO many ingredients....most of them not very good for you.....

Here are just a few of the things in the bun:

calcium sulfate, soy flour, ammonium sulfate, calcium phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, ammonium chloride, sorbic acid, baking soda, calcium carbonate, deactivated dry yeast, dough conditioners (may contain one or more of the following: distilled monoglycerides, DATEM, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, enzymes, sodium stearoyl lactylate, mono-and diglycerides, calcium peroxide, guar gum), calcium propionate & sodium propionate (preservatives), soy lecithin.
