Question:

How do you break a press in basketball?

What can i do to cut down turnovers, iam really fast and that doesnt help me because i sometimes dribble into double teams, my coach has told me to just get the ball and relax and watch my passes... any help?? I am a good ball handler but sometimes pressure messes me up

  1. Get the ball.

    Run up the court on the side of your good hand.

    When the guy starts cornering you off, run into that corner, so that the guy thinks that his press is working.

    When the second guy comes to block you from cutting in, reach around the first guy and bounce the ball around him, then cut diagonally (the little space in between the guys, cut through it).



    Get the ball and run like you are mad.


  2. Work on your ball handling...you have to keep your head up.

    Also, be calm. I sometimes have a problem where I get stressed out towards the end of a game and I don't want the ball so I immediately telegraph my pass and sometimes turn it over...
