  1. I would suggest using another fish, most likely a male betta fish - kidding.

I believe that it is the males who do not get along, so females and a male can be put together.

  2. Put em in the same bowl (Or a tank with ALOT of room) and hope they don't eat eachother.

Also give them some places to hide

  3. Get them a betta room.

    :)

  4. Male and female can be placed together for breeding, but when they are not ready for breeding the male will attack the female.

In order to breed them, you must first make sure that they are ready. to do this you will need to condition them (for a week or so), while in separate tanks, feed them well with high quality betta food or live food like mosquito larvae, while maintaining the water temp at 80F, and partially changing the water every few days.

You can tell if they are ready, when the male will build a bubble nest. while the female will have a rounded belly, and support some vertical bands on her side. You can then float the female in a glass jar inside the breeding tank so the male can see her. The male will then start to flare at the female showing her his best color, while at the same time will double his efforts in building the bubble nest. If the female shows interest by trying to follow him and shows breeding colors, it is then save to release her. But keep a close watch,as things may sometimes goes wrong, if the male attacks her instead of courting her, separate and try again after a few days. If all goes well, the spawning will occur the next morning, and will last for a couple of hours, after which the female should be remove, leaving the male to care for the eggs and fry. The eggs will hatch in 36hrs at 80F, and will take another 3 days for the fry to develop and free swim, The male should now be removed and feeding should begin, starting with infusoria and gradually moving on th larger food as the fry grows.

  5. females and males (beta's) get along swell.

i think you just got an ignorant fish assistant. (:
