Question:

How do you bridge solder something?

I'm making a taser glove (don't ask) from Instructables.com. I am told to do this: Using a small piece of wire, bridge the switch that is used to charge the capacitor, so it will always be on. Does anybody know how to do that?

  1. It simply means use a piece of wire to connect the two terminals of the switch together (a bridge) without disconnecting any existing wires. This essentially makes the switch irrelevant since the switch will no longer be able to interrupt the current.

You did not say but I am assuming the simple case of a switch with just two terminals (single pole single throw).
