Do you need to use olive oil along with the beef?

What temperature should the stove be at?

How long should I do this?

(beginning cook, if you can't tell.. XP)

  1. use a little olive oil and season your meat as you brown it over medium high heat until browned ... stir it often until you no longer see any red to cook evenly and break up lumps

  2. No oil needed.  Medium heat.  Til brown.

  3. just put it in a non stick pan and move it around (break it up) on med heat until brown

  4. If you're using ground sirloin-add the oil........but if it's regular ground beef, you don't have to add anything.  Just break it up in a pan, medium-heat, and keep stirring until it's not pink any longer.

  5. i break up the meat in a large nonstick fry pan..... put stove on a med to med high heat.

use a large cooking spoon or a large slotted spoon and keep breaking up the meat as it cooks, when it is completely cooked, (no pink), put the lid on pan and hold tightly , tipping pan into your sink to drain the oil..... it may be easier to put the meat in a collander to drain the grease.....

  6. Very simple...

    Check out this video: http://videos.howstuffworks.com/startcoo...

  7. put a little bit of water  in so it  doesnt stick to your skillet then put in to med heat

  8. put it in a skillet for about and a stir it up let cook for about 15 minutes

  9. Don't put any oil in the bottom.  Just break the meat up with a wooden spoon.  It takes about 15 minutes.

  10. Personally, I'd add just a little bit (1 tablespoon per 500g of mince) of oil to stop the meat sticking and burning until it's own fat starts rendering out.

The oil also protects your pan, especially if it's non-stick. They can produce a very nasty chemical smell if you heat them up dry.

I do mine at "medium" (ie. my dial goes up to 9, so I reckon this is 4.5) for about 5 minutes. It's done when you can't find any pink bits.

  11. Medium temp. chopping and stirring until brown. To ensure fully cooked I'd add a little water, cover and let simmer until all the water is gone. You don't need oil because ground beef has it's on oil in it. Don't forget to check and keep stirring. Should be ready in about 10 to 12 minutes. Don't forget to and your seasoning. (Salt and Pepper).
