How do you build an ancient Hittite 3-man chariot?

for a project, i need steps to building a chariot from the hittites.

i cant find the parts or any information.

  1. Chariots were not simple to build.  Those wheels consisted of multi-part bent wood bound with leather and iron tyres, spokes that were multi-part for each one, the axle held the wheel, but had to be fixed at a specific point under the box in order to balance the whole thing, the wheels had to each spin freely on the axle and be removable, the chariot box and pole used bent and lashed wood, the floor was leather mesh, the rein rings, yokes, horse strappings... and so on.  By looking at surviving Egyptian examples, we can see the full art that went into building chariots.

    Weird project, though.


  2. Fairly simply construction - it looks like not much more than a backwards wheelbarrow.  Simple four spoke wheels connected by an axle to which a shielded platform is attached and some sort of rig to attach and steer the horses.  <img src="http://www.poitra.com/images/chario...
