I need some tips on how to build my calf muscles. any tips?

  1. Besides running stairs you can do toe raises.

    It is best if you can do them with straight knees and bent knees.

    If you have a gym there are machines for toe raises, if at home you can stand on a board so your heels are below your toes, then flex your feet so your heels are above your toes.

    Begin using your body weight, and progress to holding dumb bells in your hands.


  2. Running in general. Running on uneven surfaces also helps too, such as running on the uneven sand at the beach. Also, running stairs or hills is really helpful. FEEL THE BURN!

  3. Besides standard leg raises, jump rope helps too.
