How do you build muscles for cheerleading?

see i'm a cheerleader but i want to get more muscles so that i can get stronger and more powerful. can you please give me some help and/or give me suggestion.

  1. get some 15 or 20 pound dumb bells and just work out with those. they will not add a lot of muscle and they will help you tone your muscles.

    or you can go work on a ranch and throw hay around and build fences.

    they will both do the work


  2. eating right will help for one.

    i think that doing tumbling will help you because you have to have the strength to lift yourself and you can use the skills for cheer. lifting weights will also help but you have to work your way up. :)

  3. I think that a lot of muscles are bing used when being a cheerleader. So, you'll have to pay attention to your abs, legs, arms (biceps and triceps), chest and back muscles.

    So, for you I suggest to do some pushups, sit-ups, squats, dips,...

  4. for stunting, you should definitely lift some weights. and maybe do some ab conditioning to help you remain stable when you are stunting.
