How do you build the angle in the roof for a 30 degree turn for a garage?

I am building an addition and garage onto our house and want to have a 30 degree angle in the roof. I would like to see a drawing of how to build in the parts where the angle is.

  1. ever see a picture book?  The degree you are referring  to is called pitch. Try your local library

    Another thing you could try would be to look online at some house plans and elevations which have the type angle you are looking for.  Sometimes just seeing a sketch will make it easy to see exactly how to do your tie-in.
