How do you burn a movie?

How do you burn a movie to your blank DVD....cause its in 'my documents" folder and i can't just burn it, it says i have to do something......any help from any please help....

First you have to import your movie into an application that supports both the movie and the burning process.  Windows Movie Maker works well (There are also some good sonic programs you can use).  Then you can burn from that application.
