I know that you buy the tickets online for a certain day , but when that day comes, where do you go once you're inside Universal Studios and what do I need to take with me??

You just need to bring the print-out(s) straight to the entrance gates. You do not need to go to the ticket booths to redeem the tickets as the print-out(s) is/are your ticket(s).
