How do you calculate grade points on a transcript?

It depends on your school system.  Some schools count + and - grades and others only count A, B, C etc. Basically the most common way to calculate a GPA is with A = 4, B=3, C=2, D=1

So if you got 3 As, 2 Bs, and 1 C then your GPA would be 3x4 + 2x3 + 1x2 = 20/6 = 3.333
