Question:

How do you calculate the fixed and variable costs and break-even points?

I have read my text book and it confuses me how to do this. I have tried to ask my instructor but he's been too busy to work one-on-one with me (I am taking an online course).

Does anyone know of a credible web site that I can visit that breaks this information down in detail on how I'm supposed to calculate these. I have visited my local library, college bookstores amongst other places and there doesn't seem to be anything that I can use as a reliable resource that is tailored to my particular dilemma.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Btw, I need this information for a health care finance class (HHS/265).

  1. There is a good interest calculator at www.finaid.org. You can try to put the interest in both ways and see if you can find the break even points.
