  4. To do it properly, you need to buy a heat calculator from a Plumbers Merchant.

    You need to calculate the size of a room, whether the walls are cavity or solid. if you have double or single glazed windows, wooden floor or solid Etc. Then from the calculator you will know how many Btus you need to heat the room at a temperature of 70 F. From that you can then work out the size of your rads from a rad catalouge which you can also get from a Plumbers Merchant.

  5. Hot water? Steam? Baseboard electric? In wall electric? What?

    Some things can be done with hot water, like raising the temperature of the water or having the pump come on immediately on a call for heat.
