  1. well the volume is pi*r^2*h

    r = 77/2 = 38.5

    v = pi(38.5)^2 * 60

    v = 1482.25pi *60

    v = 88935pi inches cubed

    convert the cubed inches to gallons to get 384.999pi gallons or 1209.513 gallons.

  2. 1 inches^3 = 0.00432900433 US gallons

    use that to find it.

    pi(38.5)^2(60)=279397( 0.00432900433 )=1209.5 gallons

    make it a good day

  3. 1 Cubic Inch = 0.00433 Gallons (US)

  4. how do you calculate the volume of a cylinder in gallons?

    tank is 77" in diameter and 60" high.

    Gypsyman... here it is.

    Given:

    Diameter = D = 77 in

    Height = H =60 in

    Volume of Cylinder = Base Area x Height

    Volume of Cylinder = (π D²) /4 x 60

    Volume of Cylinder = [π (77)²/4] 60

    Volume of Cylinder = 279255.9 cu in

    1 Cu Inch = 0.0043 Gal (US)

    Volume of Cylinder = 279255.9 cu in x 0.0043 Gal/cu in

    ======================================...

    Ans :::Volume of Cylinder = 1200.80 Gal (US)

    ======================================...

    hope this helps

  5. 77 inch diameter is 38.5 in radius, and

    V = πr²h = (38.5)²(60)π = 279,397.5 in³.

    there's about 7.5 gal/ft³, so 7.5(279,397.5 )/12³ = 1212.7 gal.
