  1. density = mass / volume

    For#1 mass=volume/density

    1 ft = 30.48 cm

    1 ft^3 = 30.48cm*30.48cm*30.48cm=28316.846592 cm3

    28316.846592 cm3 would be 28316.85 cm3 I think using significant figures.

    I am assuming they are giving the density ijn cm^3

    using density of gold  19.30 g/cm^3

    mass=28316.846592 cm3*19.30 g/cm^3=546515.14 grams

    For#2

    volume os sphere = 4/3 (pie) radius^3

    radius equals 1/2 the diameter

    the diameter is 12 cm

    pie equals 3.14

    so the volume is 904.32 cm^3

    using lead density 11.34  g/cm−3

    mass=904.32cm^3*11.34g/cm^3=10254.99 grams

    The person above accidently used the diamater as the radius.

  2. 1..Gold Density = 19.3g/cc

    1ft = 12" x 2.54cm/in = 30.48cm.

    30.48cm x 30.48cm x 30.48cm = 28,316cc.

    28,316cc x 19.3g/cc = 546,500g

    = 546.5kg x 2.2lb/kg = 1,202lb  (avoirdupois).

    = (1,202lb x 16oz/lb) / 12oz/lb.troy = 1,603lb (Troy).

    2..Volume of sphere = 4/3 x π x r³.

    = 1.333 x 3.142 x 6cm x 6cm x 6cm = 904.7cc

    Density of Lead = 11.34g/cc

    = 904.7cc x 11.34g/cc = 10,259g = 10.26kg x 2.2lb/kg = 22,570lb.

  3. need densities of the metals

    1. gold is 19.3g/cm^3, but you need to convert to g/ft^3. (19.3g/cm^3)(28316cm^3/1ft^3)=546515.139... since you have only 1ft^3, it stays as 546515.139g or 546.515kg

    2. is 12 the radius? if it is you have to do 4/3pi(12)^3, which is 7238.23cm^3

    lead is 11.34g/cm^3 and you have 7238.23cm^3 so its

    82081.5g or 82.0815kg

    make it a good day
