  1. BMI  is body-mass index.

    In the U.S: divide your weight (in pounds) by your height (in inches), squared. Then multiply that number by 703.

    For metric nations: divide your weight (in kilograms) by your height (in meters), squared. The resulting number is your BMI.

    But it is highly unreliable, because it doesn't take into consideration if you have a large skeletal frame or a small frame. It does not consider your proportions of muscle to fat to bone.
