How do you calculate your monthly taxed income/net income?

Lets say you are paid $10/hour, it is a full-time job, no benefits included. What taxes do you need to deduct from it (state, federal, etc?)?

If you are working part-time or seasonal, do you also pay the same amount/percentage of taxes?

  1. The fast and easy way to figure your paycheck and deductions is to go here:  http://www.paycheckcity.com

Your total tax liability is based on your your total income for the year and the source of the income so it's really not possible to tell you exactly what your tax liability will be without a lot of additional information.  The site above will tell you what your take-home pay will be for planning purposes and is therefore a good starting place.

  2. If taxes were only that simple I would be out of a job!  You need to provide a great deal more information before an answer can be provided.
