How do you calibrate the compass and temp in an 04 grand prix Gtp?

the dic (driver information center)should automatically display the correct temp in the lower right hand coroner of the display,if the lower right hand corner displays (OC) meaning open circuit or (SC) meaning short circuit you may need to have the vehicle serviced by your local GM dealer now, the compass should automatically set its self, however, sometimes it needs calibrating to do this scroll through youre menu options using the information button (i) untill compass calibration apears selct, using your arrow button, now the screen should display selct zone set the zone your in,zones are 1-8 depending on what state u are in it will verry, after you determin your zone press the i button to calibrate it will ask you to drive your car in circles after two complete circles it should set !
