How do you call a private caller back ?

YOU CANNOT.

A phone line that is classed as "private" or "unlisted", is programed in the central office, not to send caller ID data.

Your caller ID box defaults to "private" or "CNAM UNKNOWN" when no caller ID is present.

Star 69 does not work, *69 requires the caller ID data, and if the CO does not send it, when you dial *69, there is no saved data to access.

There are only 2 ways to get the phone number. The first is to ask the caller for a return number or to get a court order to require the telco to reveal the caller ID.

People that think that *69 will work are ignorant of how the phone system works.
