Get Yahoo! Messenger and a headset.   Calls from PC-PC are free, Calls from PC-Land line start at a penny/minute.  It's called Phone out and works pretty good!

well you can instant message them, or you can tell them to get teamspeak or ventrilo, but if you mean using the internet as a telephone, then im not sure. I remember in win 98 there was this dialing thing where you could call people, never tried it though

Yahoo is coming out with a internet phone system. I have comcast, for money. They do not have a 800 number available. I have called out on Skype many times, and for free. Skype now wants a Pay Pal or other backup payment arrangement because some people were calling out of country and that is not supposed to be free.
