How do you call someone in Canada from the UK?

I have a mate in Canada and he gave me his mobile number and home number but I tried calling from my mobile with both the IDD Prefix (International Direct Dialing) AND the Country Code but it never got through. Can anyone help?

  1. You should dial the following: 00 + 1 + x*x x*x xxxx. If this is what you dialed and it's not working try calling your wireless carrier to see why you can't place international calls.


  2. buy a calling card && it will tell you all about how to do it on the back =] hope that helps!

  3. Dial 001 + city code (3 digits) + local 7 digits phone number.
