As in bathe, socialize, etc. that kind of thing. Like, you know when you watch the news, and you see the animals that police/fire rescue saved and you see them playing with the animal and all that good stuff...

Kinda like a vet, but not really...

  1. they're Animal Rescue Officers and I'm almost positive you have to be on the police force. B/c I know that the people who help out around the shelters like the people who check them in/out, clean the kennels, etc are actually criminals doing public service and volunteers. But the people who actually go out and "rescue" animals I think are part of the police force. I could be wrong, but like they said, call or email the shelter. If you call, they probably wouldn't know what to tell you, so I would email the director of the county shelter and ask them how you become a member of the Animal Rescue Team for your county. Good luck!!!!

EDIT: sorry, I didn't answer your question right! I think those people who are playing with them are qualified dog trainers. I bet you could offer to work for free and be trained in exchange for a job when you're through training. Again, email the director of the shelter! They're usually much nicer and more intelligent than the people who answer the phone!

  2. Either an Animal Shelter, the SPCA, ASPCA, or pound,, or the other shelter that assists your local shelter (ex, Chicago Animal Shelter :

PACS- People Assisting the Chicago Shelter)

  3. Aminal shelter worker.Vetinary Assistant?

  4. i dont know what you would call it but i think you are talking about working at the animal shelter?

  5. I would call it animal rehabilitation, I don't know if there is an official name aside from veterinarian.
