I have a JVC Everio GZ-MG130 Digital Video Camera and I want to plug my Xbox 360 into my VCR and plug my video camera into the output of the VCR and record what I am playing. However, I looked in the manual for my video camera and it says to go to the menu look for the Analog Input option. I can't seem to find the Analog Input option on my camera? Does anybody think it will work if I just plug it in to the VCR?

  1. Here the link to your manual:

    http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00...

Refer to page 44. See the section on "Using the Camera to Dub files from a VCR/DVD"? Note that the MG130 is not listed.

Then go to page 56. On the right under "For Connectors"... none of the Inputs has the MG130 listed.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the MG130 does not have AV-in... that is why you can't find it in the menu in the camcorder - but those instructions are in the manual for the other cameras that share that same manual.

So.. to answer your question directly, no, it will not work if you just plug it in to the VCR.
