How do you care for a Papaya Seedling?

I am growing a Papaya Seedling for our Biology project. I need information on how to care for the plant. Things like:

How much water do you give it and how often? (I live in a tropical country, the Philippines.) How much sun does it need? What are the precautions to take, complications to avoid, and all the other necessary information that may help me in any way.

Thank you so much for your help. I truly appreciate it.

  1. Don't give it that much water as suggested above. Just keep moist, over-watering will kill them. keep in good light, not full sun, and feed with weak liquid feed when three pairs of leaves are formed, Pot on as necessary.

  2. Water it regularly say about 3 to 6 liters every 3 - 4 days. Protect it from high winds. Make sure it is female plant. Male plat flowers dangle on small branch like growth. Female plants have flowers attached to the steam.

Plant will fruit for 3 years.
