If you were to decide to have a crocodile for a pet, what would it eat, and would it be okay to have around children if you tame it while it is young?

  1. Sorry to say it but crocodiles are not pets. They are wild animals and are happier in the wild. You can not tame crocodiles to be nice around kids or anyone for that matter. It's all part of their  life style.

  2. I really don't think a crocodile is the type of animal you could tame. They get way to large to handle when full grown, h**l even when half grown. I would not trust a crocodile as a family pet whatsoever.

  3. You absolutely could not tame it. The only reason dogs and even parrots, etc. can be tamed is due to years of living in captivity, and literally evolving from wild animal into pet. Crocodiles are not pets, they are wild animals. They will never behave like a pet, and will always behave like a wild animal, unles you spend a good thousand years captive breeding them.

So assuming it acts like a wild animal, it makes no sense that it will "tame". In fact being around it more than necessary would be stupid alone, but having children around is just asking for some funerals.

And when they are small, they eat mice, rats, chicks and maybe some lizards or fish. And when they are bigger, rabbits, and larger animal pieces, like a chunk of beef or chicken and such.

  4. Sorry you can never tame a croc, Ever. mabey get a iguana
