How do you care for an African Peachfaced Lovebird?

Question

I would like to know because I am going to get one at the end of the month. Are they bird that require a lot of care? And is the care hard? And how do you care for them?

All birds require a lot of care,in the wild they have to look for their next meal, but in captivity they have to rely the person who has them.

Love birds require a good seed diet,Mixed budgie seed with occaisonaly a little Hemp,Sunflower Black/white  Millet Spray and in the winter months add a little Groats.

They also require greens such as Broccoli,Kale,Spinach,Carrot,Sweet corn cob,Apple, Pear, in small quantities.

If you can get Apple,Pear,or Willow twigs they like these they will strip the bark off.

A good source of Cuttle -bone and a Mineral block are also essential,with a supply of clean water,

If you think that this is a lot of care then don't get one,

They can be quite affectionate little birds but don't be fooled by their name,because they can also be vicious little blighters.

but mostly all you need to care for them,

is if they have enough food/water.
