How do you carry a watermelon on a bike, anyone?

I ride my bikre every where and some times I want to buy a watermelon but how can I if i'm on my bike.

A backpack is too easy. That's like cheating.

buy a basket and put it in front, otherwise, on your lap?

Or if you have a rear rack, you could securely bungy cord a milk crate to the rack and put the melon in there. But it might bounce around too much and get bruised. Not to mention the weight shifting could cause you control problems while riding.

I would go with the backpack.
