How do you cash ina money order?

My mother had sent me a money order and on the money order it is through wachovia Bank, how can I cash it in, or can I cash it in at a different bank?

My friend will be cashing it in for me, with me there, can I do this?

you can go to any bank that you have an account with to cash the money order.  It will be treated just like a check.  My question, is why will your friend be cashing it if you are there too?  The bank will not let your friend cash the money order.

Some grocery stores cash money orders, but you will need good identification.

just go to your bank and ask them to cash your money order..

you will need identification that it is yours though.

your friend will not be allowed to cash it for you because her name is not the name thats on the money order..
