  1. I work in the hospital, in the O.R. I also Dental Asst.  If I'm in a bad mood i hide behind my mask.  I'm just kidding!

I always smile, look the person in the eyes and depending on age, position there in, like the boss I ask "How's it goin'?

Do the head knod, it indicates your interested enough to ask but your busy. Everyone seems to respond nicely.

  2. All of the above, depending on if eye contact has been made.

  3. Good morning

    sometimes just a smile

doesn't really matter as long as you acknowledge them in some way - and  they should do the same

  4. I'm a talkative person so I usually say "hello" or "good morning/afternoon."  I think a simple hello and smile is appropriate.  I think a nod is pretty impersonal and juvenile.

  5. I usually make eye contact and nod my head.  If I feel like talking, I may say something like "Hello", then nod.  I rarely smile anyway, so if I smile it's because I am genuinely happy to see that person, and will do all three.

  6. I smile usually if they say hello I'll say hi back. Sometimes we exchange how are you with a polite fine thank you. If I know them better I'll usually say hello first and ask how they are with more interest.

  7. Any of those is appropriate, or a little wave of the hand works too.  You can also take your cue from the other person.

  8. What I do is say Good Morning, Good Afternoon...etc.  Acknowledgement is all that is needed.  No one expects a full blown conversation or anything.  If you see that person in the hallway more than one, after greeting them the first time, just smile.

  9. with a smile and a nod

  10. Smile, sometimes I say hello.  Depends on the person and how much of a rush I'm in.

  11. i whisper "hey"

  12. Smile and lift my eyebrows.

  13. say "what it is, fool!"

    j/k

it depends on how well you know them, you might barely know someone and just nod, or if you know them better say hello.

  14. I usually say hey and nod or i just smile

  15. I usually just smile, and sometimes I'll say "Hey".

  16. First  time in day "'good morning"  After that a smile and a nod will do.

  17. Well at my college I say hey to my buddies, but if I only kind of know someone, I sometimes pretend to be occupied or looking at my watch or something so it's not so awkward. But I'm a very awkward person so maybe this isn't a good idea?

  18. I fist bump

  19. just say hey or hi whatever one you like the best

  20. I usually smile and say something quick and friendly like ,

    "How's it goin?"

    "Hey!"

    "Good Morning!"

If you'r on your way out, just respond with a quick,

    "Have a great weekend!" or

    "Have fun!"

    "Have a good evening!"

It's nice to verbalize a bit, it just shows people that you are being open and friendly. Plus they'r just quick little things to say that don't take up time.

They can respond back with a nod, smile or "thanks" "you too"

I think it just makes things more personable than always walking past people barely acknowledging their existence.

haha.. we all work in the same place, why not

  21. Well it depends on the person. If its someone like a acquaintance, or someone who I have never really spoken to before, I usually just give a small smile and maybe a little nod.

If its someone I've spoken to a few times at least, or that is a pretty good friend I will usually say hey! or ask them how their day is going :).

If its someone I don't like or what not, I will just keep walking and not make any notice of them unless they make a polite notice to me first.

  22. I smile, and say good morning or nod and say miss or sir.

  23. u nod your head verbalize and smile and say hi,how ru,and other greetings

  24. Smile, if they acknowledge you say hello.  Very brief, very polite, just casually greet.

  25. you can put up your hand and nod.. you can give a quick handshake, which can also be viewed as a casual greeting..
