How do you catch Shaymin on Pokemon Diamond?

Sorry, it's an event. You can usually go to Toys'R'Us to receive the item "Oak's Letter".

Then, you have to take a different route through Victory Road to the right and go all the way to a giant rock with Professor Oak standing next to it.

Speak to him, and... well, he talks a lot.

Then a bunch of flowers appear all over the small island you are on. A route suddenly opens next to you, that is extremely long.

Ride the whole route until you reach another island where Shaymin is.

Also, the events happen once every year. You can go to www.pokemon.com for updates on when the events will happen and where they will take place.

And if you have an Action Replay, you can find a code that allows you to catch any Poke'mon that you would like by tossing out "Master Balls" until you get the National Poke'dex number that matches the Poke'mon that you want (in your case, Shaymin's number is 492, so you would toss out 1 "Master Ball" because they give you 493).

This code also gives you 493 "Master Balls". Toss enough "Master Balls" to get the National 'Dex number of the Poke'mon you want. Example: 493-1=492 (Shaymin). Then hold L and run into tall grass until the battle scene starts.

it's an event. I used action replay but u can only trade it from someone who has action replay or else u can't have...but I remember that there was a long path of flowers or something that looked like flowers

you need to go to the shaymin event to get it in mystery gift and recive oaks letter. you must have the national and have beaten the elite 4. go to the end of rt. 224 and you will see prof. oak. On a stone tablet write the name of whom you give thanks to the most. shaymin will appear and walk away. get on your bike and go down sea break path to flower paradice then talk to what looks like a bush but it is really shaymin. you will battle shaymin at lvl.30 but it is strong for a grass type. that is the legit way to get it. i do not know when the next event is so you might have to wait a while. you can do that or spend $20 - $40 for an action replay or you can trade.

No sorry it is a Event only pokemon so people won't be able to get them soon so just trade with people over Wi-Fi that has them like me
