  1. since you don't see them, I suggest using a seine net. it is rectangular and fastened to 2 poles. you hold each pole and slide the net along the bottom of the creek. if you have crawdads in the creek, you will net them. some states and localities have laws regarding the use of a seine net, so check first

  2. cautiously place a jar behind the crawdad  and then reach into water in front of him. they move backwards.

  3. Flip rocks in the creek,When you find one quickly push on its shell right behind its head. Then lift it up.If your afraid of getting pinched dont catch crayfish. They make great bait for bass and pike.

  4. crawdads always move backwards so take a net and place it behind it and put sumthing in front of itso it will crawl backwards into the net.

you can find them under flat rocks move the rock up slowly and dont slam it down .if the crawda comes at you dont be afraid of it remember your alot bigger than it

  5. You need to get in the creek and start turning over flat rocks. I use an aquarium net about 4 in. wide. Approach the rock from downstream so that the silty cloud washes downstream BEHIND the rock and not over it so it clouds your view into the water. Polarized glasses help here. Once you spot it, place the net a few inches behind it and just make a motion with your fingers in front of it and it will scoot backwards into the net. Have a bucket with some river water in it waiting on shore and just dump him in it. This is a good way to find hellgramites too. Hope you get your quarry.
