How do you change DVD format for iTunes?

Question

I have some movies and show seasons that I'd like to be able to listen on my iPod and iTunes. I know there's some kind of program to change the format, but other than that i have no clue.

Help?

iTunes only support MP4, H264 video formats. There are some useful guides about how to rip DVD to iTunes and convert videos and TV shows to iTunes for iPod, iPhone, etc, it works well for all the Windows and Mac OS users.

yeah, use a dvd converter, and convert it to mp4 format.

Doesn't iTunes automatically convert foreign file types? Like if you add a .wma file it converts it to .mp3.

Perhaps the same for videos?

well there is a free software called Videora Ipod converter

it will convert your video files to ipod format, and then you can import them into itunes and put them on your ipod

just google "Videora Ipod converter"

thats only if they are already on your computer however, im unsure about from DVD

I have iSkysoft dvd to iPod converter and it does a decent job. It probably takes 30 minutes to rip a full-length movie with sound and picture quality set to maximum. The iSkysoft  DVD to iPod converter is $29.

Download the free Zune Video Converter right here  http://www.xilisoft.com/zune-video-conve... which works perfectly for videos to play on the iPod and in iTunes. Once that is download, install the program. Open up the program and open up the video that you want to convert. Then select the qualities you want and such, preferably high quality. For profile, make sure you have selected Zune MPEG-4 AVC Video Format (*.mp4). Then click on the 4th button to the right that says "Convert". And it will start converting and your done.
