How do you change a MSWMM to a WMV?

Question

i tried to upload a microsoft vid me and my friend did but youtube said that its not in the correct format. and i dont know how to change it. Can you guys help me? (:

Hi Diana - What you're actually trying to do is upload the Windows Movie Maker PROJECT rather than the finished WMV movie.

Open your project (the MSWMM file) and when it is open click CTRL+P or go to "File/Make Movie"

This will create the movie for you in the WMV format needed to upload to Youtube.

It must be said, though, that WMM is not the best tool out there. Apparently CNET rated it 1 star out of 5 due to stability and response issues.

However, there are numerous free editing tools for video you might want to try:-

Avidemux

Blender
