Mine are stuck into the ceiling, with metal rings around. The rings don't seem to twist. Both have gone in the bathroom. I don't wan't to shower in the dark anymore. How do I change them?

(My landlord doesn't know I have a cat so I don't want to call them unless I really have to, in which case I have to plan to get rid of the cat for the day which is difficult).

  1. the bulbs twist out of the ring on the ones I have it is clockwise if you look at the bulbs in an electric shop they are the ones with the two prongs

you also need patiance when putting them back you replace the opposite of removing

kef is right nif you want to remove the whole fitting but not if its only the bulb

  2. the rings should pull straight down and are held in place by stiff wires.

  3. There could be a spring clip inside the metal ring, squeeze the two projecting ends together to release the ring.I`ve seen other lights that come with a little sucker on a stick, you put the sucker on the bulb and give a twist.Ask your landlord if it`s OK to have a cat,if they say yes ,get them to sort it out.
