  1. use a video converter program like handbrake.

  2. in windows movie maker just go to save to my computer and its a automatic re formating and thats all you got to do if you use

sony Vegas later on you have to go to file then render that take a while  to do though

  3. @ last step of wmm - save/publish to computer, wmm displays the options

    - Best quality for pc playback in wmv (auto)

    - compress to xx kb (seldom chosen)

    - Other settings:

---> avi  (saves in big files - not soooo good for youTube)

---> wmv quality (Hidef, Dvd, vhs, etc depending on final destination)

*depending on ur choice, wmm displays:

on bottom left: the format- wmv or avi, resolution/display size (choose higher- it's better)

on bottom right: the est. movie file size - youTube limit is still 100mb? choose quality nearest 100mb

  4. get a program that converts videos such as, xilisoft convertor, if u want a free one try erightsofts SUPER, its easy to use and its free.
