How do you change nylon guitar strings with ball-ends?

I'm trying to change a string on a nylon-string guitar, and the string is a "ball-end" string. Help?

  1. Ball-end strings are for pin bridges.  If you have a classical guitar with a tie bridge then you need classical nylon strings, not ball-end strings.  See link below for a pictorial on changing nylon strings on a classical guitar.


  2. Thread it through as normal but run the string back through the hole in the ball end

  3. just run it through the bridge it will hold.
