How do you change out your navel ring?

i've had my navel pierced for a little over five months now and went back to the place that i got it pierced today to get my cartilage pierced (which btw i love!) and while i was there asked how long i had to wait to change out my navel ring from the one i was pierced in to a new one. well they told me that i could have changed it after 2-3 months so i'm planning on changing it out soon, i have some new navel rings my boyfriend bought me and they're all surgical stainless steel. does anyone have any tips or pointers for changing out the navel ring for the first time? it doesn't hurt when i move it or clean it or even if i accidentally hit it but i'd hate to do something wrong and mess it up after all this time!

  1. just unscrew the ball and slide it out then push the new up and s***w the ball on, but to make it easier you can wet it first makes it easier to slide in and out.

  2. my friend pierced her own yesterday and shes already taken it our and put it back in. she said it doesnt hurt at all. i dont think theres really a wrong way to do itt.. so just do it!

    :)

  3. OMG I HAD THE SAME ISSUE!!!!!! c i was worried tht id s***w it up so i just took it out the day after i got it and it closed up can bleev it wat a waste of cash!!! so anyway thn i got a needle out of mi moms sewing kit and redid it my self!!! turns out it wasnt such a gr8 idea because it wouldnt stop bleeding and i had to go to the emergency room!!!! not cool so if i were u id stay away fom needles

  4. unscrew the top ball and remove it from the bottom then insert the new through the bottom and but the ball on it.

  5. carefully unscrew the little ball at the top, and slide it out from the bottom... to put the other one in, find the hole and push it up... s******g the little ball on is sometimes really fiddly but its not that bad

    hope i helped
