  1. Rear brakes are unnecessary.

  2. you take the calliper mount bolt off (not the bolts through the calliper or you'll open up your hydraulic system and have to bleed it amongst other things)  compress the pistons back into the calliper with a puller or something, pop the new pads in, put the calliper back on and go riding.  just remember to pump the brakes a few times before your 1st ride, or else that 1st stop will be pretty scary

  3. first answer would be right for the front brakes but not for the rear.

stick a putty knife in between the pads and rotor and spread the pads as far as you can.

You need a 1/4" 12 point socket to pull the pad pin screws. once you pull the 2 pins both of the pads will drop out.

put the new pads in and tighten the pad pins to 200 inch pounds torque.

pump the rear brakes and go for a ride.

  4. Walter F is correct.

I always end up dropping the back wheel and taking the caliper off. Now I just replace the pads whenever it's time for a rear tire.

  5. first answer was right 2nd guy should take the bus .

  6. Take it to a garage that specialises in such work.
