My tires are worn badly so I plan to order new ones. How do I get my new ones on the rim? What's the best technique?

  1. take the new tires and old tires with rims to anybody that fixes flats,

  2. On these smaller tires it is usual practice to buy the wheel complete with the rim... Same thing as with small trailer tires. Check out a few auto parts stores. many of them sell these small tires.

  3. Doozier I take wheels off and use long flat blade screwdriver to remove tires.  When installing your new tire, buy small ratchet strap wrench. Put the strap wrench around center of tire and tighten up, you will need to do this to get tire to  take air, release strap wrench after tire starts taking air.  I put link at bottom, for you to  see ratchet strap wrench. You can buy cheap one at Walmart or dollar store.

  4. Same as a car tire.  They are pretty easy to work with due to the thin walls and flexibility.  Make sure that the rims are clean and free of rust when you put the new tires on.  They are tubeless and you have to get a good seal.

  5. Same concept as car ties but on a smaller scale. I used a couple rounded over steel bars to break the tires off the rims. Lots and lots of soap and water mixed to make the tires easier to slide off (and onto) the rims.
