How do you change speeds on a Powerwheels jeep?

This jeep is a couple of years old, the copper/brown colored one (don't know if that matters or not), but it was given to us and I don't have a book. Can anyone tell me how to change the gears to make it go a little faster? Thank you!

  1. I am not sure about the older ones.  Newer ones (with a shifter lever) are set to be in low speed from the factory.  To be able to put it in high gear, you need to remove the high speed lockout s***w, that prevents the gear shift from moving unintentionally.

Look on page 21 of this manual from the power wheels site.  It will at least tell you if yours is the same as the current models.

    Good luck!
