  1. the service book will tell you.

remember that the springs that will likely need removed have lots of pressure in them and can seriously hurt you,

look under the car to see if they are coilovers.

  2. The coil over strut needs to be removed from the car. You can rent a strut compressor tool and you should have an impact air gun because there is allot of nut turning in this process. The strut compressor tool sits in your bench vice and the strut is inserted into the compressor. The arms or dogs are engaged and tightened to the point the spring has collapsed and the top strut nut can be removed. Remove spring and remove strut from tool. Install the new strut in the tool and the spring and install the spring rest and top nut. After that release the spring slowly and seat the spring properly. Remove dogs and the new strut should be ready to install in the vehicle. Repeat for the other 3 units.

Remember to torque all the bolts to the proper values and a whell alignment is required for the front wheels/suspension after this operation.

  3. If you need to ask you don't have the needed skills to perform this. Leave this for someone qualified. You will probably just hurt yourself attempting this.
