  1. Here how to do that first when you open up the gimp and you put your photo

that you want work on you make a new layer you do that by right clicking

on the arrow that is at the top layer`s window a new window will open up

it will say layer`s menu at the top of it put your mouse over it it will

open a new window right click on new layer and anew will come up again

it will say layer fill type at the bottom of it click on the little circle

and put a dot next to it a then click OK you will have 2 layer`s one will

be called new layer one will be called background right click on the layer

that background and high light it and then make a Duplicate layer of

the one called background now you will have 3 layer`s one called new layer

one called background copy and one called background make sure they are in

that order if they are not high light them by right clicking on them and

you can use the arrow`s down at the bottom of the layer`s box to put them

in that order.Step[1] right click on new layer`s and high light it and use

the Bucket fill toll to fill it with ever color you want.Step[2]Use the

Opacity in the layer`s box to make whatever Opacity you want when you

fill the new layer with ever color you want you will be-able to see the

background copy even though you hare new copy high lighted when you have

the Opacity that you want right click on the layer`s arrow at the top of

of the layer`s box go to layer`s menu right click on merge down and merge

new layer and background copy Step[3]put your background layer at the top

you can do that by high lighting the background copy and clicking on the

little green arrow`s at the bottom of the layer`s box until the background

above the background copy Step[4] Right click on layer on the background layer

and a box will drop down Go to transparency and a new box will come down

Right click on add Alpha channel Step[5] Use your free select tool to cut out

out the part of the picture that want to turn to the color that you want

and then click on Edit and then click on cut and it will cut it out. And repeat Step [5]to cut what ever other part`s of the picture that you want

to make that color Step[6]Go to layer`s at the top of the layer`s box and

click the arrow and go to layer`s menu and click on merge down. And you are
